Justin Smith is an attorney at Davis & Davis who brings 14 years of law enforcement experience to the firm. A former Corporal and Field Training Officer with the Tullahoma Police Department, he knows how cases are built from the ground up, and he puts that insight to work for every client.

Justin's Story

Justin Smith spent 14 years with the Tullahoma Police Department before he ever stepped into a courtroom as a lawyer. He served as a Field Training Officer, preparing new officers for the realities of the job, and rose to the rank of Corporal. Those years put him face to face with people on some of the hardest days of their lives, and they taught him how investigations really work: how evidence is gathered, how reports are written, and where mistakes get made.

That experience, and a commitment to justice and to the community he served, led him to the law. While earning his law degree from the Nashville School of Law, which he completed in 2025, Justin worked as an Advocate with the Legal Aid Society, helping clients who couldn’t afford to face complex civil legal problems on their own. He started in a temporary role and quickly earned a permanent position.

Now at Davis & Davis, Justin brings an investigator’s eye to every case. He knows how the other side builds its case, so he knows where to push. He’s thorough, he’s organized, and he doesn’t let important details slip through the cracks.

Just as important, Justin is a natural communicator. Clients can count on him to listen, explain what’s happening in plain language, and fight hard for them from the first meeting to the final result..
